Beschrijving

Publishers are removing things from new Bibles!

Publishers of modern Bible versions have been removing words, phrases, and even whole verses, but their readers are often unaware of it. Few people know the Bible well enough to notice when something has been taken out.

But the results are hard to believe. The removal of one tiny word turns Jesus into a liar. Callers into Christian talk shows have even used this to say that it’s okay for a Christian to lie. After all, they say, Jesus did it. A verse that’s completely missing from some of the most popular Bibles available today completely removes one of the basic doctrines found in every evangelical church. When David Daniels shows this one to people they just stand with their mouths open and say, “I can’t believe it!” In another case, Jesus’ own words are removed, taking out a famous phrase in which Jesus explains why He came to earth. People react with: “They took out Jesus words! How can they do that?”

This information has been right under our noses for years, but no one has ever taken the time to cull through this many Bible versions and find the missing parts. Author David Daniels did the research and now releases his results for the Christian world to see what is really missing. How about your Bible? Is it on the list of Bibles with pieces taken out? You might be surprised when you look at what’s missing.

Comments about Chick Publications Look What's Missing!:

For over 40 years I have read both the King James Bible and the 1964 French Louis Segond. The latter may be added to the list of strongly edited Bibles. It has long been a source of confusion for me, and I have gone from version to version trying to find one that gave me the whole story. The "Look What's Missing" book has shown me why I was confused, and I am grateful for that. I now read the King James with great contentment. The content of "Look What's Missing" ought to be taught in every Sunday school.

Comments about Chick Publications Look What's Missing!:

I remember starting out in my Christian walk with an NIV Bible. In some places it would say things like, other versions say thus and such, or it would say, the oldest manuscripts do not include the following verses. When I got to these places I would wonder what I should believe. Were those verses really God's Word or not? It put doubt into my mind.
Fast forward to the day when I received a copy of "Look What's Missing," which reveals the differences between the various Bible versions and makes the case for the top-notch reliability of the KJV. I could relate completely when the author wrote about other versions' inducement of doubt (the opposite of faith). Now I think, why would anyone want to cling to a Bible version that plants seeds of doubt in one's mind?
Since then I have given a copy of "Look What's Missing to my pastor. I think every pastor who reads in church from a less-accurate Bible version should read this book!
