Hello Dear people,

My name is Grace Chi, and my Chinese name is Chi Hui Yun.
If you are interested in Chinese language or Oriental culture, I could help you to learn the language and give you a profound insight view of the Chinese culture.


Biography

I grew up in Taipei, Taiwan, and graduated from Taipei First High School (TFG)
and the Business Administration department at National Chengchi University (BA-NCCU) in Taiwan.

Since then I have had a lot of experience in language exchange and teaching. I came to the Netherlands for studying music since 8 years ago.

Aside from being a musician,
I also like to read Chinese novels, ancient poems, literature, traditional medicine, and philosophy.
Besides that, I write poems and compose songs, too.
Therefore I could help you to learn the language and give you a profound insight view of the Chinese culture.

I am a professional teacher in the language center: Taalcursus. I give Chinese language courses there, and also privately.

The textbooks I use to teach are the ones used in the language centers in Taiwan, these two are the most popular ones:

A course in contemporary Chinese
Practical Audio-Visual Chinese
For Simplified Chinese: New Practical Chinese Reader

• Buying a book in the beginning is not necessary

Goals:

The content of the lesson varies, depends on your need, basically it concludes:

1.Speaking and Listening in Mandarin
2.Reading and writing in Traditional Chinese characters
   (Simplified Chinese is also possible)
For Example, goodbye in Traditional Chinese is 再見,
while in Simplified Chinese is 再见

• Calligraphy practice can be included if you like

• If youd like to focus more on speaking and listening, it is also possible.

Specialties:

Chinese language knowledge:
I have many years language exchange experience with foreigners,
therefore I can explain Chinese from the western way of thinking in languages.

Reading and writing in Chinese can be easy and interesting
if you understand the meaning and the story of the roots of the words.

Chinese Culture:
From Chinese/ Taiwanese history and geography to ancient literature and philosophy.

The lesson can be given in English, Spanish, Portuguese and not so good Dutch (I am working on it)

Price

The lesson can be given individually or in a group.

For one person:
€ 30.00 per hour per person

For the group of two people:
€ 25.00 per hour per person

For the group of three people:
€ 20.00 per hour per person

• The length of one lesson is normally 2 hours.

• There is a 10%-off discount if you take a package of 10 lessons

Location:


The lesson is given in my place, near Coolhaven metro station in Rotterdam.

• Lesson given in the students house is negotiable with the transportation compensation.
