1960’s Selmer “Kelly”pinstripe 4x12 bottom cabinet Marshall€ 1.500,00
|Wattage||:||Minder dan 200 watt|
We also have 4 original 60's Baker Loudspeaker Model Group 25 30-WATT with them, also Made in England. Two of these are in very good condition, 2 of them have a bit of cone rub.
The pinstripe Selmer used is very rare and they only used it for a small period of time in the 60's. The tolex also is typical Selmer. The cabinet is extremely well made and very very solid (read: heavy). Lots of basses and growl from this monster!
The installed Marshall labelled Celection G12C 25W is a speaker that is joint effort between Marshall and Celestion as Marshall was looking to create a new speaker for its new Limited Edition Jimi Hendrix Super 100JH stack. Only a few of these stacks were ever made.
Shortly thereafter, Marshall created the Vintage Modern series amplifiers and chose it's G12C speakers for the matching cab and combo amps. These are the speakers with G12M magnets with black, green and gold "Marshall" labelled Greenback stickers. They are 25 watt speakers rated at 16 ohms and they are made in England. They use an H1777 cone with minimal doping to sound like the legendary late 60's G12M's
Designed to produce balanced tone, these speakers produce excellent clean tones, full overdriven tones, and very well defined high gain tones. Most rock, hard rock, and blues players prefer these speakers because of the balanced tones. The G12C has the unusual ability to not get too "muddy" when you use great amounts of volume and/or when you dial in significant amounts of gain. From my experience the G12C are highly refined version of the "greenback" speaker with great potential to be a classic "greenback".
Neither Celestion website or the Marshall online store has ever advertised the G12C for individual sale, always as a part of the 425 series cabinets.
