S’ochtends vroeg via polderweggetjes door slaperige dorpjes richting het zuiden? Daar is deze VW Brazil Dakota voor gemaakt!!!
Met zijn 4 cilinder luchtgekoelde 1600 cc motor, gekoppeld aan een versnellingbak die soepel schakelt, is de reis een doel op zich. Met de voorramen en het grote panoramadak open is een airco overbodig. Met de eigenwijze lamp in het midden boven de voorramen, de two-tone lak en het roofrack achter op het dak is deze bus een echte eyecatcher. Deze bus met zijn 21 ramen is een waar icoon uit de autogeschiedenis.
Onderweg lekker picknicken in de berm. De bestemming is eigenlijk minder belangrijk.
De bus is “nog” niet gerestaureerd maar verkeerd in goede staat.
De bus is door de vele jaren in het warme klimaat van Indonesie goed bewaard gebleven, maar voor een grondige restauratie zijn de herfst en wintermaanden in Nederland bij uitstek geschikt. De VW is rechts gestuurd en bevindt zich op Bali.

With the front windows and large panoramic roof open, air conditioning is unnecessary. With the distinctive lamp centered above the front windows, the two-tone paint, and the roof rack on the rear, this bus is a real eye-catcher. This bus, with its 21 windows, is a true icon of automotive history.
A picnic on the side of the road is a great idea. The destination is actually less important.
The bus has not yet been restored but is in good condition.
The bus has been well-preserved due to its many years in the warm Indonesian climate, but the autumn and winter months in the Netherlands are ideal for a thorough restoration. The VW is right-hand drive and is located in Bali.
