Afkomstig uit Jacob de Riemer’s: “Beschryving van ‘s-Graven-Hage. 1730-1739. Zeer fraaie staat. Richtprijs: € 100.

In 1681 the butter farmers were given their own building, the large Boterwaag on the Prinsengracht. A little further on the square they were given a special shop dedicated to their produce, the “Stukken Boterhuis.” In between the two buildings, in the eighteenth century, there was the house of the master weigher.
This print was used in: Jacob de Riemer’s: “Beschryving van ‘s-Graven-Hage…” Delft and Den Haag, 1730-1739.
