The Players' Association vinyl lp

Profile:
The Players Association were a disco and funk band formed in 1977 by jazz drummer and producer Chris Hills. The band was based in New York City, United States.
Many of the band's members were seasoned jazz musicians who had worked in the city's vibrant music scene before joining the group. The band's headquarters and recording studio were located in Manhattan, where they created much of their music during their active years in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
The group's music was heavily influenced by the disco craze of the late 1970s and featured a blend of funk, jazz, and soul. Their self-titled debut album, released in 1977, featured the hit single "Disco Inferno" which became a dancefloor favorite.
The band's other notable songs include "Turn the Music Up", "The Get Down Mellow Sound", and "Everybody Dance".
While The Players Association did not achieve the same level of mainstream success as some of their contemporaries, they remained popular among disco and funk fans throughout the late 1970s and early 1980s. Today, they are considered a cult classic band of the disco era.
