Het gaat hier om een gerestaureerde en zeldzame Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce 1600 die voor het eerst op 2 Januari 1967 in Italië is geregistreerd. Hier heeft hij het grootste deel van zijn leven doorgebracht. In de map met historie die bij de auto zit is zelfs nog het originele kenteken dat in Verona is afgegeven aanwezig. Bijzonder is dat de betaalde wegenbelasting stempels- en plakstickers nog aanwezig zijn, evenals authentieke Italiaanse registratiepapieren. De auto is in 2022 voor het eerst op Nederlands kenteken geregistreerd.

Deze zeldzame Veloce is recent volledig gerestaureerd. Alfa Romeo specialist 'Berfelo Italian Car Service' in Giesbeek heeft hem tot in detail geperfectioneerd. Hij is uitgevoerd in de prachtige kleur 'Azzurro Spazio' blauw met zijn originele zwarte bekleding, welke in zeer goede staat verkeert. Onder de auto zijn de originele 15" Alfa Romeo velgen te vinden met bijbehorende wieldoppen en goede banden. De RVS bumpers en sierlijsten rondom de auto zijn erg netjes en maken het uiterlijk compleet. Het interieur is tijdloos met het mooie dashboard en stuur, de witte hemelbekleding en de grijze tapijten.

Onder de motorkap ligt een 00536 Veloce motor. Deze 4-cilinder motor heeft een cilinderinhoud van 1.570 cc. Deze motor is verbeterd ten opzichte van het type 00502 van de Giulia Sprint GT, zoals uitlaatkleppen met een grotere diameter (37 mm in plaats van 35 mm). Dit resulteert in een vermogen van 125 pk bij 6.000 tpm. Verder is de auto voorzien van 2 Weber carburateurs en een handmatige 5-versnellingsbak. Hij schakelt soepel en rijdt als een zonnetje.

De Giulia Spint is één van de meest begeerde Alfa Romeo's. In het bijzonder onze Veloce die met oog voor detail is geprepareerd voor nieuwe avonturen en die rijdt zoals een Alfa Romeo hoort te rijden!


Algemene informatie over Giulia Sprint GT Veloce
In 1966 werd de Giulia Sprint GT vervangen door de Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce. Qua uiterlijk lijken de modellen op elkaar, maar in het interieur en technisch zijn veel verbeteringen doorgevoerd, zoals een verbeterde en krachtigere motor met meer koppel. Hoewel de vervanger van de Sprint GT Veloce - de 1750 GT Veloce - in 1967 werd geïntroduceerd, liep de productie van de Veloce het gehele jaar door en in 1968 waren de laatste dertig auto's geproduceerd. Tegen die tijd bedroeg de totale productie van de Giulia Sprint GT Veloce 14.240 exemplaren. Het prachtig model staat ook wel bekend als “brievenbus” (in Italië ook wel “scalino” genoemd) vanwege de gleuf onderaan de motorkap. Het ontwerp kwam van de hand van topontwerper Bertone: met het robuust ogende front en strak getekende lijnen is één van de meeste begeerde auto van Alfa Romeo.

Wijzigingen ten opzichte van zijn voorganger zijn de Veloce-logo's en ronde geëmailleerde badges op de C-stijl: een groen Quadrifoglio (klavertjevier) embleem. Verder is de grille van zwart gaas met drie horizontale chromen spijlen. In het hart van de grille zijn 7 spijlen in plaats van 6 spijlen aanwezig. In het prachtig afgewerkte interieur waren de belangrijkste wijzigingen ten opzichte van de Giulia Sprint GT de dashboardfascia van imitatiehout in plaats van de vorige grijze afwerking. De voorstoelen zijn aangepast naar een "kuip"-ontwerp en het stuur is nu gebogen met drie aluminium spaken, een zwarte rand en claxonknoppen door de spaken.
Op autosportgebied was en is de auto zeer succesvol. Met een vermogen van 125 pk en een gewicht van slechts 1.010 kg is de auto dan ook wendbaar en sportief. Het interieur is prachtig afgewerkt: fraaie verchroomde tellers, een houten dashboard en een kenmerkend 3-spaaks houten stuurwiel.

This is a restored and rare Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce 1600 that was first registered in Italy on Jan. 2, 1967. This is where it has spent most of its life. In the history folder that comes with the car, even the original license plate issued in Verona is still present. Of particular note, the paid road tax stamps and stickers are still present, as well as authentic Italian registration papers. The car was first registered in 2022 on Dutch registration papers.

This rare Veloce has recently been fully restored. Alfa Romeo specialist 'Berfelo Italian Car Service' in Giesbeek has perfected it in every detail. It is executed in the beautiful color 'Azzurro Spazio' blue with its original black upholstery, which is in very good condition. Underneath the car are the original 15" Alfa Romeo rims with matching hubcaps and good tires. The stainless steel bumpers and trims around the car are very neat and complete the look. The interior is timeless with the beautiful dashboard and steering wheel, white headliner and gray carpets.

Under the hood is a 00536 Veloce engine. This 4-cylinder engine has a displacement of 1,570 cc. This engine has been improved over the 00502 type of the Giulia Sprint GT, such as exhaust valves with a larger diameter (37 mm instead of 35 mm). This results in a power output of 125 hp at 6,000 rpm. Furthermore, the car is equipped with 2 Weber carburetors and a 5-speed manual transmission. It shifts smoothly and drives like a breeze.

The Giulia Spint is one of the most desirable Alfa Romeo's. In particular, our Veloce that has been prepared with an eye for detail for new adventures and drives the way an Alfa Romeo should drive!


General information about Giulia Sprint GT Veloce
In 1966, the Giulia Sprint GT was replaced by the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce. In terms of appearance, the models are similar, but many improvements were made in the interior and technically, including an improved and more powerful engine with more torque. Although the replacement for the Sprint GT Veloce - the 1750 GT Veloce - was introduced in 1967, production of the Veloce continued throughout the year, and by 1968 the last thirty cars had been produced. By then, total production of the Giulia Sprint GT Veloce reached 14,240 units. The stunning model is also known as a "letterbox" (also called "scalino" in Italy) because of the slot at the bottom of the hood. The design came from the hand of top designer Bertone: with its robust-looking front and cleanly drawn lines, it is one of Alfa Romeo's most desirable car.

Changes from its predecessor include the Veloce logos and round enameled badges on the C-pillar: a green Quadrifoglio (four-leaf clover) emblem. Furthermore, the grille is black mesh with three horizontal chrome bars. The center of the grille features seven bars instead of six. In the beautifully finished interior, the main changes from the Giulia Sprint GT were the dashboard fascia of imitation wood instead of the previous gray finish. The front seats were changed to a "bucket" design and the steering wheel is now curved with three aluminum spokes, a black surround and horn buttons through the spokes.
In motorsport terms, the car was and is very successful. With an output of 125 hp and a weight of only 1,010 kg, the car is therefore agile and sporty. The interior is beautifully finished: beautiful chrome counters, a wooden dashboard and a distinctive 3-spoke wooden steering wheel.
