De sculpturale lamp in de vorm van een zittende Boeddha valt op door het aangename contrast tussen glanzend wit geglazuurd keramiek en een hoogglanzende, spiegelende Echtgoud-laag (deels vergulding). Ontwerp, glazuur en vergulding komen exact overeen met de iconische ontwerpen uit deze periode (in de stijl van Domenico Zanotto / Nove / Bassano).

* Gezicht & glazuur: De vergulding schittert prachtig spiegelend (donkere vlekken op de foto’s zijn alleen lichtreflecties). Er is het typische, lichte goudslijtage aan de handen en aan de neus. Bij de diadeem bevinden zich twee minimale glazuurpuntjes. Aan de onderzijde bevindt zich bovendien de tijdtypische herkomstdruk (door ruimtegebrek als „MAD IN ITAL“).

This sculptural lamp, depicting a seated Buddha, features a stunning contrast between glossy white glazed ceramic and a mirror-like, highly polished real gold finish (partial gilding).
