I'm selling my Volkswagen Polo 1.2 TDI BlueMotion Comfort Edition, a car I've genuinely enjoyed owning and taking care of.

I bought it in February 2026 with approximately 223,000 km, when I needed a reliable car for my daily commute between Lelystad and Almere. Most of my driving consisted of around 80 km per day at steady speeds of 80–90 km/h. I've always driven it gently, allowing the engine to warm up properly and treating the car with care.

From the beginning, my intention was to keep this Polo for many more years. It was already a well-kept car when I bought it, and I decided to invest in refreshing and renewing many of its mechanical components since I wanted to enjoy it for a long time.

I've since moved to Almere and my circumstances have changed, and my daily journeys have become much shorter. Since a diesel is better suited to longer journeys, I decided to switch to an electric car instead.

The Polo has been used much less since late September, but it hasn't been neglected. I still take it out every weekend for a drive to Lelystad and back, and wash it.

Driving Experience & Condition

For a small 1.2 TDI, I find the engine surprisingly responsive and enjoyable to drive. The clutch feels very light, the manual gearbox is smooth, and the car is comfortable and easy to handle.

The black paintwork has a beautiful, mirror-like shine and has been polished and regularly maintained. I've generally washed and cleaned the car every weekend. Naturally, there are a few minor scratches and signs of use consistent with its age.

During the garage inspection, a suspension-related attention point was noted, leaking shock absorbers but not to be urgently replaced. These have not been replaced yet. The car still drives comfortably, and the garage invoices are available for inspection.

Originally purchased for a planned suspension refresh, these parts can be included for an additional €600, if the buyer is interested.
