Mark Miller, a member of the American Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan, is called upon to locate the missing wife, a young American woman, of an Afghan engineer and return her to her distraught family, in the years following World War II. A fantastic must read book about Afghanistan when it was a total different world. The book is old from the 1970 in a pretty good shape but you buy this book because you want to read it.
