UniFi Switch US-16-150W (16-port PoE, managed), faulty PoE, sold as-is
Selling my Ubiquiti UniFi US-16-150W (16 x Gigabit ports, 2 x SFP, firmware 7.5.15). I'm being upfront about the problem so nobody is surprised.
What's wrong: The PoE output stops working. Roughly 40 minutes after a power-up or reboot, power to all PoE ports drops at the same time. The switch itself stays online and keeps passing data. Power-cycling the switch brings PoE back, but only for about another 40 minutes. Devices powered by PoE (access points) go offline each time. I confirmed the access point itself is fine: it works normally on a PoE injector.
What I know and don't know: I haven't opened the unit or found the root cause. It may be the PoE controller, the internal power supply or thermal protection. When I checked, the switch showed about 67°C and a fan level of 0, but I can't say whether that's related. Non-PoE ports worked normally throughout.
Good for: use as a plain (non-PoE) managed switch, with PoE devices on injectors, or as a source of parts, or for someone who wants to repair it.
Condition: Used, in working order as a data switch, with the PoE fault described above. Includes power cable. No warranty or returns, sold as-is. Will be factory reset and removed from my UniFi account before handover.
