This is a vintage desk designed by Børge Mogensen for the esteemed Danish retailer Illums Bolighus.
The piece is a fine example of Danish Modern design, characterized by its functionalism, clean lines, and honest use of materials.
Constructed from wood with a warm, expressive oak veneer, the desk features a generous work surface supported by two pedestals. The left pedestal contains a bank of five drawers, while the right pedestal offers two deeper drawers, providing ample and varied storage. A pull-out tray above the right pedestal adds extra surface area. The piece is finished with simple, curved brass drawer pulls that complement its straightforward aesthetic.
