The thin pictorial parchment covers are a little wrinkled, chipped at the edge and darkened as usual.
On the front cover a little hole (6 x 2 mm.) just below the A of Antartic.
Below that hole is vaguely visible a name in ink.
Small 8vo.
Pages: 67 + 13 preliminary and end pages.

GOOD
Very sound copy. A little wrinkled externally but generally undamaged and minor wear only.
Marginal soiling to the first and last leaves otherwise internally clean

[8] Publisher's ads + [5] prelims + 60 full-page photos + 3 pages
"Notes on Some Antarctic Mammals and Birds" by W S Bruce, + 5 pages publisher's ads. Jacket is a thin "oiled paper" wrap-around printed in black, red, yellow and blue with title etc and a penguin scene.

Very sound copy. A little wrinkled externally but generally undamaged and minor wear only.
Photos show whales, penguins, seals, shags, skuas etc. 4 photos show members of the expedition, one photo shows the Scotia in the background and one photo shows an emperor penguin on board the Scotia.
