Elegant Lalique Gao Cendrier in a frosted almost serpentine pattern, with polished orbs at the center of the auroborus motifs. The polished orbs contrasts wonderfully with the seemingly never ending frosted snake pattern.
René Lalique produced some of the most intricate and beautifully designed pieces of crystal art in his career. Although no longer with us, his designs and brand live on to this day still gracing us with its beauty.
Originally sold as a cendrier, or ashtray, it is likely best used as a candy or nut dish, or just as a decoration to be appreciated for its beauty and depth.
