Vintage Glass Candle holder -This piece is crafted of heavyweight, clear crystal. The pattern and design in glass create a realistic melting ice shape. - Probably by Muurla Finland, but the sticker has come off.
Beautiful crystal glass 'melting ice' tea light holder.
This is very reminiscent of ones made in Finland by Muurla and maybe designed by WIRKKALA.
There is no identifying sticker so I cannot guarantee.
Wirkkala 1915 - 1985, his work ranges from designs of plastic ketchup bottles and metalware to glass, ceramics and plywood in a range of styles.
His success as a glass designer began in 1946 when he designed the Kantarelli vase for Iittala, and the mass-produced Tapio collection was launched in 1954.
Among his most famous work have been the designs for the Finlandia vodka bottle (1970).
This piece is crafted of heavyweight, clear crystal.
