Greek Carnelian Intaglio Ring 18th century

A dark red carnelian stone is bezel-set into an octagonal gold signet ring. The stone is engraved in intaglio with a cross between two stars on the first line, followed by three lines of Greek text, concluding with a date, with a carved octagonal seal dated to 1750.
