A pair of vintage Tiles. Hand painted and made in Spain. Featuring a Fisherman carrying a net and Fisherwoman carrying a basket of fish on her head.
A pair of vintage Tiles.
They are hand painted and made in Onda, Castellon Spain.
Azulindus & Martí is one of the oldest companies in the Spanish ceramic sector. It was founded in 1897, the company was initially dedicated to the manufacture of small wall cladding pieces.
I cannot find a date for this tile but I would say mid to late century.
They are 6" x 6" size.
Tile 1 - Features a Fisherman carrying a net across a beach with a boat on shore and boat out at sea.
Tile 2 - Features a Fisherwoman carrying a basket of fish on her head across the beach in the background are lobster / crab pots boats on the sea and a rocky foreshore.
Both tiles are in good, used condition, with light signs of wear There are no cracks and just light occasional nibbling to the tile edge -
Please study the photos to gauge the condition for yourself. Selling as a pair would make great decorative piece if framed side by side.
