Hand painted Russian Soviet Toleware Tray - Floral Design- Round tray 18cm diameter. Made circa 1980.
A lovely, hand painted tray from the former Soviet Union prior to the fall of the communist regime.
Originally used as a small serving trays in Soviet homes these are beautifully crafted objects that look wonderful as display items or can, indeed, still be used as serving trays.
The floral design is bright and clear and features both open and closed blooms, nestled in foliage in shades ranging from a gorgeous red and white and green.
The rim has a thin gold detail line running the full circumference.
