Vintage sierbord uit 1924 van de City of New York ter herinnering aan Waalse kolonisten die eind 17de eeuw naar Nieuw Amsterdam (huidig New York) kwamen.
De tekst op het bord staat ook op een herinneringsmoment in New York en gaat als volgt:

Presented to the City
of New York by the
Conseil Provincial Du Hainaut
in memory of the Walloon settlers
who came over to America in the
Nieu Nederland under the
inspiration of
Jesse de Forest of
Avesnes then county of Hainaut,
one of the XVII Provinces.
