A refined set of six dining chairs designed by Cees Braakman for Pastoe, Netherlands, 1970s. Crafted from warm-toned wood with newly upholstered seats and backrests in a soft, textured grey fabric. About the designer
Cees Braakman (1917–1995) was the pioneering head of design at Pastoe from 1945 to 1978. Deeply influenced by the principles of Charles and Ray Eames, Braakman introduced modular thinking and bent plywood techniques to the Netherlands. His work for Pastoe helped define a new era of refined, functional modernism combining rational design with human warmth and timeless appeal.
