Annemiek van der Kuil (Gouda, 1964) is a Dutch photographer specialising in portrait and fine art photography. For Annemiek photography is about capturing beauty and freezing time.
She seeks simplicity, purity, and genuine moments. Her fine art photography is an ode to impermanence, balancing the pain of loss with the celebration of the present moment. The cloud shifts, the bird flies on, the light fades, and that is exactly what makes this moment meaningful. In her still visual poems, she tries to capture something of what briefly exists and then is gone for good. Annemiek invites the viewer to experience each image as a quiet meditation on the beauty of now.
