PUBLIEK/GETOONDE KUNSTWERK
"Spots and Circles" maakt deel uit van een serie die ik in mijn studio heb gefotografeerd met een hard-light flitser en een stuk kartonpapier met cirkels erin gesneden, voor het model gehouden om cirkelvormige verlichtingen op het lichaam van het model te creëren. Dit was een één-flitser belichtingstechniek om de schaduwen intenser te houden en een mysterieus sfeer in de scène te creëren.

ELENA PARASKEVA is alumna van Hasselblad Masters, World Masters of Photography, LensCulture, Aesthetica, Prix de la Photographie Paris, enz. en werd door 4 internationale fotogeselschappen uitgeroepen tot FOTOGRAAF VAN HET JAAR (2024 / 2023 / 2021 / 2018).
Ze is jurylid geweest voor het FLORIDA MUSEUM OF PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTS sinds 2021 en dient jaarlijks als jurylid bij verschillende internationale fotowedstrijden. Ze is voormalig Adobe-instructeur en ambassadeur.
Haar werk wordt aangekocht door institutionele kopers waaronder de Public Art Department van Zweden (Västra Götaland Government), Boston Hospital USA (grote installatie van 500 cm bij de ingang van de Kinderkankerafdeling), Australian National University, Thalassa Museum, enz.
Ze heeft tentoongesteld in het EUROPEES PARLEMENT in Brussel, evenals op belangrijke biënnales en galeries in NYC, Parijs, Tokio, Londen, Dubai, Wenen, Barcelona, München, Kuala Lumpur, Florence, Frankfurt, Málaga, Linz, Graz en Siena.
Ze is gepubliceerd in The Guardian (UK & Australia), The Times, Vogue.it, Aesthetica, LensCulture, PDN, Photography Masterclass, en anderen.

BIOGRAFIE
ELENA PARASKEVA heeft wereldwijd ruime erkenning ontvangen in fine art fotografie, conceptuele beeldtaal en hedendaagse visuele storytelling.
Zij werd geselecteerd door Saatchi Art als een van de “Artists To Watch”. De voorzitter van de IAA beschreef haar als “een van de grootste talenten in de fotografische industrie”. De curator van het Florida Museum of Photographic Arts sprak over haar “indrukwekkende portfolio en grote deskundigheid in fotografie”. Adobe omschreef haar werk als “prachtige conceptuele beelden”, en ScanArt International noemde haar “een meester van surrealisme en conceptuele verhalen”.
