ODYV was the name of a French firm of the early and mid-twentieth century, specializing in ArtDéco ceramic design. Formed by two sculptor artists; Yvonne Berlot and Odette Mussier de Vierzon, France.
The Odyv brand experienced its boom and "Golden Age" during the period from 1927 to 1939, closing its production definitively in 1970.
The piece presented here "Saut de Cerf et Chiens", is a statue in white ceramic of medium-large size, representing a hunting scene.
Elaborated with the French technique "wax enamel" better known as "Crispée", giving the piece a charming bright rough-glazed texture, emulating movement to the figure.
It bears the ODYV badge embossed on the base This work dates from 1930. Vierzon, France.
