Beautiful bronze box with a curved lid, decorated with relief figures of horsemen, with side handles in the shape of animals, short feet, and finely inlaid decorative borders. The sides display animal motifs in relief, including a figure representing a snake. In the Dogon tradition, boxes of this type are associated with social status, ritual use, and the symbolic preservation of objects. They could contain offerings, ritual objects, valuables, or sacred objects.
