The painting shows a beautiful city view - a flower market with lots of people

Size of the canvas is, 40 x 60 cm.
The frame is not as old as the painting- canvas, but it still suits te painting well.
Size of the outside of the frame is, 54 x 74 cm.
Chris de Bruijn Jr. ( 1901 - 1974), Was a Dutch painter, self-taught. He painted in an impressionist style, cityscapes, landscapes, seascapes and flower still lifes. His early landscapes and farmyards are blond and sunny in colour. The fluffy touch of his backgrounds is striking. His later work, with mainly cityscapes, are more moody and seem to be inspired by the Amsterdam Impressionists.
