Prachtig en sfeervol landschapsschilderij (met originele vergulde lijst) van de Deense kunstenaar Børge Nyrop, bekend van o.a. “Paris in the Spring” (1911).

Dit originele werk toont een landelijk tafereel met een boer en boerin die graanhalmen bewerken, met op de achtergrond een molen en een waterpartij. Nyrop vangt hier op subtiele wijze de sfeer van het Deense landschap, uitgevoerd in een verfijnd pastel kleurenpalet en met een lichte toepassing van impasto, wat zorgt voor diepte en textuur.
