In this piece, I aimed to explore the harmony between the stillness of classical portraiture and the energy of modern abstraction. With over 30 years of experience behind my brush, this painting represents my fascination with the 'inner light'—symbolized by the golden halo—and the complex layers of human experience, shown through the vibrant textures and patterns.
I chose oil as my medium to achieve a depth of color that brings the butterflies and floral elements to life. To me, this work is a celebration of grace and the constant transformation we go through. I hope this piece brings a sense of serene energy to its new home.
