MCE Remote RC6 and IR receiver do not work

Method 1:

Run inbuilt Hardware & Device troubleshooter and check if it works. Please follow the steps given below.

Note: If your computer is having problems with a recently installed device or other hardware, try using the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter to fix the problem. It checks for common issues and makes sure that any new device or hardware attached to your computer was installed correctly.

• Press Windows + W keys on your keyboard to get the search option.
• Type Troubleshooting and click Troubleshooting.
• Now click on view all option.
• Click on Hardware and Device and follow the prompts to run the troubleshooter. If the issue still persists, follow method 2

Method 2:

You may try to disable and enable the Human Interface Devices and check if it helps. Please follow the steps given below.

Note: Enables generic input access to Human Interface Devices (HID), which activates and maintains the use of predefined hot buttons on keyboards, remote controls, and other multimedia devices. If this service is stopped, hot buttons controlled by this service will no longer function. If this service is disabled, any services that explicitly depend on it will fail to start.

• Press Windows Key + R, type devmgmt.msc and press enter.
• Expand the Human Interface Devices. Right click on the USB device.
• Click on Properties. Click on Driver tab and click on Disable button.
• Click Ok. Restart the computer and enable the device again to check the issue
