DAT deck equipped with AA-DD converter.
It is equipped with newly developed AA (analog-accurate) converter.
This circuit is an A/D conversion application of the D/A conversion technology of 1-bit pulse-width modulation. It also performs fourth order noise shaping to increase the linearity at a minute level, and realizes excellent S/N and distortion factor.
It uses the DD (Digital Direct) converter that is also installed in Victor's CD player.
This circuit converts a digital signal into a pulse wave that varies based on an accurate crystal clock and directly converts it into an analog signal. There is no amplitude error caused by the accumulation of conventional bit quantities. This eliminates in principle the 0 cross distortion that could not be eliminated even with high bit.
The mechanism uses a fine tracking mechanism and a double-scan system to improve the accuracy and driving stability of the mechanism and to minimize reading errors.
Supports DAT-specific subcodes.
In the XD-Z505, the keys to operate this subcode are deployed independently to improve usability.
Equipped with Auto ID edit function.
The start ID, which is automatically recorded during recording, senses the beginning of the song and is written. This results in a slight delay in the start of the song. To fix this with a simple operation, the Auto ID Edit function allows the microcomputer to search for the optimum start ID position and rerecord according to it.
In addition, since the silence level of a song can be determined in three levels : -60dB, -50dB, and -40dB, it is possible to accurately search for a song that starts quietly, which is difficult to see between songs.
Equipped with a sampling monitor function, the digital signal just before recording can be heard after D/A conversion, so that the sound quality and sound level can be checked without setting the recording pause state.
Even when no tape is inserted, the analog input can be converted to digital output at all times, and the digital input can be converted to analog output. Therefore, it can be used as a D/A converter or an A/D converter.
