De Nikon DR-6 wordt op de zoeker van Nikon reflexcamera's bevestigd. De hoekzoeker geeft een rechtopstaand, niet spiegelverkeerd beeld, dat onder een hoek van 90 graden te bekijken is via het ingebouwde dakkantprisma. Dit werkt prettig bij het fotograferen vanuit hoge- of lage standpunten, of b.v. bij close-ups of reproductiewerk. De vergrotingsmaatstaf kan worden ingesteld op 1:1 of 1:2.
