7.1 Surround Sound System

A solid, mixed-brand system. We are moving away and it must go. It sounds great and was being used daily until this listing. It was configured as a 2-zone system so music could be played in the kitchen, living room, or both. It could also be configured as a 7.1 surround system with all the speakers in one room. The stereo supports optical and HDMI inputs. Components are as follows: 

Receiver: Yamaha RX-V661

5.1: JVC SP-X100

Boxes: Sony SS-CMD373

Subwoofer: Yamaha SW-P130


It is a loud, balanced system and the sub thumps nicely. However there are some things to know: 

Each piece has some cosmetic damage or stains on the mesh. I tried to capture some of this in the photos. 

One of the speaker cable screws from the reciever is missing. This does not affect how you configure the system as one of the screws can be moved to accommodate either 7.1 or 5.1+2

The remote control may not work. I never used it since I could easily reach the receiver for changing inputs, zones, or volume. Not quite sure, remember it being strange but never spent the time to test it. 


Many extras are included to help you set up the system: 

Speaker cable for the sats and sub. There are many lengths and even a new roll of cable. The roll was knifed by the supplier so some length is not useable, but much can be salvaged. The cable lengths for the two kitchen speakers are 25m which is about the maximum you can use anyways. 

Power strip, Euro (type C) extension, and ethernet cables, as well as a couple 3.5mm jacks to help you set up your devices

I could email the manuals for most of the components. The receiver booklet is especially important to have.
