The VU+ Duo2 features two physical tuner slots on the rear that utilize a modular Plug & Play system. This allows you to configure the receiver as desired for
. Satellite (DVB-S2),
. Cable (DVB-C), or
. Ethernet/Antenna (DVB-T/T2).

Because dual tuners (double tuners on a single plug-in card) are also available, you can expand the VU+ Duo2 to a maximum of 4 built-in tuners.

Available Tuner Variants

1. You can fill the slots with the original Advanced Pluggable Tuners: DVB-S2 Single or Dual (Twin) Tuner:

For digital satellite television. With the Dual Tuner card, you use two independent satellite lines via one slot.

2. DVB-C/T/T2 Tuner: Hybrid tuners for digital cable television (such as Ziggo) and terrestrial reception (KPN Digitenne). 3. Common Configurations.

- Depending on your setup, you can combine the tuners in various ways and configure them in software such as OpenPLi or OpenATV:

- Maximum recording freedom: By installing two DVB-S2 Dual Tuners, you get 4 full-featured satellite inputs, allowing you to record up to 16 live channels simultaneously.

- Hybrid setup:

One DVB-S2 Dual Tuner in slot 1 (satellite) and one DVB-C/T2 tuner in slot 2 (cable or antenna). Loop-through: If you have only connected one coaxial cable, you can set Tuner B in the menu as "Loop-through to Tuner A" to watch and record channels on the same polarization/frequency band.

Note: The VU+ Duo2 does not support newer FBC (Full Band Capture) tuners. These work exclusively in 4K models such as the VU+ Duo 4K SE or Ultimo 4K.
