Description

The down imaging provides detailed mapping of the area below the boat, so when it comes to scouting for fish, it is best to use its dual beam sonar for a greater search radius to locate the perfect fishing spot as it allows for a greater coverage and so minimises time spent searching and maximises time spent fishing.

Down Imaging

• Sometimes, to catch fish, not only do you have to think like one, you've got to see like one. Get a fish-eye’s view of what’s happening below your boat with Down Imaging. These incredible images are created with high frequency sound waves emitted in ultra-thin slices. The sonar returns from these waves produce a “portrait.” As you patrol the water, you’ll watch fish, reefs, timber, brush, bridge pilings, rocks, and any other structure or cover pop with stunning detail.

Dual Frequency Sonar

• Whilst down imaging provides a highly detailed image of below the boat with a narrow frequency, it only covers a small area. The dual beam sonar provides a wider angle for a greater searching area with less detail, but once you have found an interesting spot, you can switch to the more refined beam for greater detail with less area of coverage.

Understanding Imaging

• The detailed images of Down Imaging are created with high-frequency sound waves emitted in ultra-thin slices. The sonar returns from these waves produce a "snapshot" of what's below your boat.
