EGR KLEP VERWIJDEREN EN AFDICHTEN(AFDOPPEN)

Uitlaatgasrecirculatie (EGR) is een stikstof-reductiemethode die gebruikt wordt bij interne-verbrandingsmotoren. EGR staat voor Exhaust Gas Recirculation.

Het principe van het EGR systeem is dat er een hoeveelheid van de uitlaatgassen uit de motor teruggeleid wordt naar de verbrandingskamer. Doordat het uitlaatgas gemengd wordt met de inkomende lucht, zal het zuurstofgehalte van het verbrandingsmengsel dalen.

Bij dieselmotoren is een bijwerking van het EGR-systeem dat er meer roet uitgestoten wordt. Minder NOx leidt tot meer roet en omgekeerd. Het inlaatsysteem kan op den duur zwaar vervuild raken met roetaanslag. Door de vervuiling van het inlaatsysteem kan het EGR systeem niet meer goed functioneren en treden er storingen op.

Wij kunnen de EGR klep volledig uitschakelen in de motorsoftware zodat deze niet meer wordt aangestuurd en gesloten blijft. Doordat de EGR klep gesloten blijft kan het motormanagement een optimale verbranding blijft leveren.
