-Founded in 1929 by the motor-car pioneer, the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan, houses a remarkable variety of items celebrating the history of American technology. In this book, photographs of the museum's aircraft, trains, cars, furniture, decorative textiles, silver and glass objects are used to teach young children the alphabet. The illustrations of historical artefacts are paired with alliterative word combinations, with a view to entertaining children as they learn about American ingenuity through examples such as Antarctic airplane, key-driven Kodak, neon number, sixteen-foot snowplough, Tucker torpedo and quarter-ton quadricycle.
