Interest in old trolleybuses increased when it became obvious in the early 1960s that their days were numbered.
More recently, this interest has been boosted by the prospect of a new generation of trolleybuses serving the public in Britain in the twenty-first century.
Meanwhile, hundreds of hours of loving care have been spent on restoring those trolleys which have survived over the years.
They may be admired as static exhibits in Belfast, Cardiff, Dublin, Glasgow and London, but rides can still be enjoyed on them at Carlton Colville, Suffolk and Sandtoft, North Lincolnshire.
Old Trolleybuses traces the fascinating history of the trolleybus from the first experiments in this mode of electric transport carried out over one hundred years ago to the retirement of the trolleybus system in recent decades.
