A complete collection of talks by Inayat Khan in the first half of 1922

This volume comprises unedited and authentic versions of all known talks given by Inayat Khan from January through August 1922 During this period, he spoke while traveling through Belgium and the Netherlands and also gave many lectures in Paris—in public halls and private homes. These lectures have often been taken and translated from the original French transcriptions.

Most of this material comes from the period of the Summer School. During this same time, Inayat Khan privately gave twelve short lessons on Indian music to the young daughter of a murid, which can be found here as well. Many of the talks presented in this volume were later incorporated into a series of lessons for initiates into the Sufi Order; these are known as the Gathas.
