It is a vintage book on the "Talkies" beginning in 1927 through 1958. (There is a newer version which extends through 1970). Daniel Blum has edited it wonderfully well. Mostly pictures and stills of movies, each page is chock full and takes the reader through many memorable film classics and not so many classics. A must-have for any true classic movie lover. Not today's movies, but the wonderful greats of yesteryear.
