Review: This is a wonderful piece of history in itself, recording the history of the English Country House. It's a really interesting book. This book is more fiction than history; and the only history it is truly recording is the vision and philosophy of a dying class who held an impossibly romantic vision of a green and pleasant land. For that reason; it is utterly fantastic.
