The titular characters of this rather unsettling series, who work for the humorously named “Bug-Bee-Gone” exterminating company, have some less than attractive qualities themselves. One is an incorrigible racist and misogynist, while the other tries to suppress his violent tendencies and hide his prison background. The discovery of a mutant cockroach figures to change their lives forever, a development one of them virtually predicts by saying their job is all about “primal instincts—them against us.”

There’s a certain hypnotic quality to this spooky series, written by Simon Oliver (channeling Stephen King) and drawn by Tony Moore (channeling Steve Dillon). The appearance of a rat the size of a small child tells you all you need to know about how unpleasant this title is.
