ComView IPS is a compact, multi-functional device designed for remote equipment access, control, and alarm monitoring applications.
ComView IPS integrates a high-performance 32-bit processor, two serial ports, two 10/100 Ethernet ports, four logical IP ports, V.92/56K global modem, four contact sensing inputs, two digital outputs, a built-in UPS, and a suite of access security and management application software in a small, standalone hardware device. It allows you to connect to a wide range of serial and IP network administered equipment as well as environmental sensors and devices at the remote equipment site. ComView IPS supports user-definable access policies based on user accounts, callback, caller ID, TACACS+, port access privileges, allowable access time window, and user commands to let you control access. Supported networking security features such as IPSec VPN, OpenVPN, and IP filtering firewall can then be used to further secure its access. ComView IPS is capable of monitoring alarm conditions at its contact inputs, serial ports, and network ports according to user-definable alarm signatures. It can filter, escalate, and automatically deliver alarm messages to multiple locations in different notification formats over dial-up and/or network connection. To let you do more, ComView IPS allows you to configure each of its serial and logical IP ports to different modes of operation: direct access, raw data collection & buffering, and/or alarm monitoring. Perl scripts can also be run at each port either interactively or automatically using the integrated task scheduler to perform any tasks you require; for example, routine system administration or corrective action in response to an alarm event. The unique implementation, capabilities, and flexibility of ComView IPS allow it to be readily integrated with your network management platform; making ComView IPS the right solution for your remote equipment administration, management, monitoring, and other services delivery.
