New GTX 1650 in a (POSSIBLY) FAULTY Aorus gamingbox 1070

Storytime: I bought this Aorus Gigabyte gamingbox 1070 back when it came out and it was fantastic. Playing games while watching movies, living the life. That life, in rural kenya, came with power surges, and one fateful night, one such surge blew my gpu. Recently, after consulting a technician, I was advised to try fix a 1650 in there. I bought on, brand new (GBP250) and lo and behold, it didn’t work. I saw a blown fuse in the old 1070 card, so I feel confident the damage was restricted to the part I replaced, but still, caution, the eGPU part might not work even if you replace the card with a 1070 as it is likely programmed for
