Echter als de (retro) harde schijf of aangesloten hardware geen hogere Ultra ATA DMA standaarden ondersteund dan is een 40-polige IDE voor legacy retro opstelling voldoende.The 80-Conductor Cable: is for Ultra DMA modes over 2 and then an 80-conductor cable must be used. If an 80-conductor cable is not detected by the system, 66 MB/s or 100 MB/s operation will be disabled. A Ultra DMA 80-conductor is not mandatory. IDE (=Integrated Drive Electronics/Intelligent Drive Electronics) A hardware interface for hard drives and CD/DVD drives.
