Play It Again Sam, or brass band PIAS, has been fun and friendship for over 36 years. With an exceptional repertoire and a unique enthusiasm, this brass band from the city of Eindhoven always impresses every audience.
a lot has happened in all those years, but a lot has also stayed the same. In the early nineties PIAS merged with another brass band "Bitter Wa As Niks" so that we got a band with more than 20 members, which is still the case. Many musicians have been there since the foundation, and a large group has been playing for years now as a musician of Play It Again Sam. However, or thanks to the band, we still feel young and stubborn.
There has always been innovation. The musicians' clothing has been predominantly pink and black from the start, but has become more and more exceptional over the years. The choice of music is also unique and innovative. As a result, PIAS has a unique repertoire of Dutch, Seventies/Eighties, Musicals, House and Hard Rock music mixed together.
Saxephones and percussion, but also sousaphones and baritones, trumpets and trombones have given PIAS its own unique place in the brass band world of the city of Eindhoven for many years now. Play It Again Sam likes to make music with great pleasure. And it will probably stay that way for years to come.
