Bijzonder ‘halftone’ memory spel ontworpen door designstudio Raw Color exclusief voor M S MSH P. Bij studio Raw Color staat ‘kleur’ centraal, recent is door hen een limited edition collectie ontwikkeld voor Ikea.

Halftone Memory onderzoekt kleurcombinaties. Elke ronde kaart toont twee tinten en die zijn gedrukt met 4 neon Pantone-inkten. Om maximale intensiteit te bereiken, is een raster ontwikkeld waardoor de kleurpunten naast elkaar geplaatst worden, zonder overbodige overlapping zoals bij klassiek drukwerk. De titel verwijst zowel naar het spel – het koppelen van halve cirkelkaarten – als naar de toegepaste halftone offsetdruk.
De doos is ongeopend (nog geseald) en bevat 32 kartonnen cirkels (Ø60 mm) plus een zakje om ze in te bewaren.

For Raw Color the materialisation of colour plays a key role, and can be seen as the core of the studio.



Halftone Memory is an exploration into colour pairing and offset printing. Each round card combines two tones. It challenges the way we perceive colours. The colours are reproduced by offset printing utilising 4 Neon Pantone inks. To achieve the most intensity of each hue a grain-based print screen has been designed for the project. This allowed to place the colour dots next to each other and to avoid unnecessary overlaps that would happen in by using a classic print screen. The title refers to the way the game is played, by finding the fitting half circled toned cards. And to the way it is produced by application of halftone offset printing.
