Vintage Eugenio Gerli for Tecno "142" design armchairs, 1960s Italy.
4 pieces, in very good vintage condition, minor wear due to age and use, no fading to the black upholstery!
Resembles the Alky artifort chairs, space age retro
The backrests move and shape to the body, and the wheels make them wonderfully mobile. materials, black upholstery, with chrome-plated metal/plastic castors/wheels.
The 142 series has stood the test of time and has become a classic Tecno product. With Osvaldo Borsani of the historically working system called Graphis (1968), the architect Eugenio Gerli designed several icons for Tecno, including these armchairs. Metal structure, foam are fully upholstered on wheels. Very similar to Pierre Paulin Artifort chairs The range has been designed to meet the demand that arose as a result of the revolution in home design that began in the 1960s, when the lounge, dining room and relaxation area all began to merge into one multi-functional space.
