Voor een vriend in Engeland biedt ik deze motor te koop aan. Het is een motor uit zijn eigen collectie. Ik heb in Normandië op deze motor gereden, hij rijdt erg fijn.
Ik kan u in contact met hem brengen, of in eerste instantie eventuele vragen aan hem voorleggen. De motor heeft nu een Engels kenteken, en wordt geleverd met een volledige verkoop overeenkomst en alle benodigde export papieren. De motor heeft een datingscertificate van de AJS & Matchless owners club met vastgesteld bouwjaar 1939. De motor heeft na de revisie nog geen 3000 miles gereden.

WW2 MATCHLESS G3WO (RAF)

For sale is this very rare “panel tank” G3WO Matchless, which was found in Manheim, Germany in 2015 and brought back to the UK. It was almost certainly taken to France as part of the B.E.F in 1939/40 and left behind at the time the Dunkirk evacuation. The bike was fully restored in 2016 and painted in RAF blue as a tribute to No.1 Squadron who were deployed to France as RAF Advanced Air Strike Force at the outbreak of WW2 and flew in supporting the BEF.
The motorcycle has frame number 1839, which makes it a very early G3WO and was supplied to the War Office under contract C5247. The original war time registration number it carried was C 64570 as this is stamped on the crankcase above the engine number.
At the time the restoration engine was fully rebuilt and was fitted with period correct accessories such as the correct WD speedo, switch and ammeter as well as the correct dull chromed Bowden leavers. It also has its original “Panel tank” petrol tank, which is exceptionally rare.
The bike is in full working order and start, runs and rides nicely.
This is a very rare opportunity to own a genuine panel tank Matchless G3WO.
