Omschrijving van dit kavel (in het Engels):

The 1905, Black Forest, Waldkirch 89-key Gavioli G4 fairground organ was a project 9,5 years in the making, with the chassis restoration done in Belgium by the Verbeeck family while the massive facade was restored in-house with beautiful wood carving, oil painting, and gold & silver leaf decoration. In total over $270,000 was spent on restauration, the facade, and the 437 books of Gavioli music included with the organ. When the instrument played once again in August 2016, actor Dustin Hoffman witnessed the grand occasion - his granddaughter was taking riding lessons at Skyrock Farm at the time. The Gavioli played wonderfully and was a delight to hear, although the automatic stop has required close attention as books come to an end. The instrument is currently in a very good playing condition and features the following instrument pipes - bass, trombone, violin, clarinet, piccolo, saxophone and the following percussion instruments - xylophone, snare drum, bass drum. In excellent visual condition only showing a few small natural hairline cracks in the wooden facade. ATTENTION: The two organ figures on the sides and the large organ figure in front of the facade are not included as part of this lot, they are sold as separate lots.
