Bd 22"
Tt 10-12-14 "
Weinig mee gesleept..
Top set van kwaliteit... Absoluut geen dpd! Ander hout en fabriek en kwaliteit!
A bit about the series, as they are somewhat scarce and there seems to be some confusion about exactly what they are: the Workshop Series dates to around 25 years ago, and was intended to be DW's mid-line range at the time, using the same quality maple shells as the Collector's Series, but without the reinforcement rings and timbre matching of the Collector's Series, and with ovular lugs similar to (but slightly different from) the PDP lugs instead of the classic round DW turrets. As I understand it, these were made in the USA at the same factory as the Collector's Series, using many of the same components, but with no options for customization and a limited range of finishes/sizes in order to keep the production costs down. In the end, from what I have read/heard, they ended up being too costly to produce and started eating into the Collector's series market share a bit, so were discontinued after only a few years in production (1999 until 2002 or so?
