The SuperDrive by Lex Bos is probably one of the finest preamp/tube OD in the world today, and I owned and played many good contenders like the Van Weelden Royal Overdrive or the Origin Effects RevivalDrive custom. One Fender-like channel, one Marshally, one musical boost. A large sound palette, from light crunch to heavy (I mean real heavy) gain. The independent three way EQ is fully usable, not as many hi-end pedals that are tricky to dial in : it’s a real plug’n play OD, usable as a true amp. The cherry on the cake is you can use it as a true preamp, directly into your DAW, with excellent results, even without speaker emulations or IRs (the equing job on this pedal is that fantastic).
